Delightful story. A group of misfit, troubled kids are sent away to the desert for a "camp experience of a lifetime". The problem. None of them want to be there. Many bumps and bruises later, walls come down and alliances are formed. Will they be able to come together when it matters most. Danger abounds.

Audrey and Aaron are both misfits at their schools. Somehow they end up in the same desert survival camp for the summer where, with other misfits, they find their inner heroes. This is a thoughtful and sensitive book with great character development and a solid plot.
