Some of the best nature photography we have ever viewed. Dr. Sanyayan has an enthusiastic, compassionate connection to nature for all he is also an excellent scientist. Almost a boyish embracing of possibilities for the future that he calls "A new wild." This tuly captured both hope for the future as well as a somewhat condemning knowledge of the present. In short realistic, informed and hopeful.

They have found a replacement for David Suzuki, about time! This fellow seems fresh and open, transparent and not so hypocritical as Mr. Suzuki who owns four massive homes on the ocean..... and discussion of climate change was low key as well, and if it is happening (real evidence is lacking) is not blamed on humans...... in general the presentation was balanced and fair, human beings do care about the environment and are doing something at an institutional level to solve problems if they are real and not a product of politics......

We are avid viewers of science and nature shows. This exceeded expectations. The diversity of the content, the intelligence and delivery of the narrator and the beautiful photography.
We learned so much. Highly recommend.

A great PBS series exploring the new world of Human interaction with the Natural World. Realizing past mistakes, the episodes give us examples of new and innovative remidies the Modern World is attempting to implement. The episode "Water" is especially relevant in light of California's current drought situation.

An outstanding series of documentaries following a scientist, M. Sanjayan, as he explores various ecosystems and lifeforms, particularly in how we as humans interact with them. The mistakes of the past and present are shown, but also solutions for problems we have caused, giving a measure of hope for the future. The condition of the Aral Sea is disturbing, to say the least, in one documentary, as is the Colorado River's outlet (or lack thereof), though there is some good news on that front. Sanjayan's enthusiasm makes the series work so well as a whole. He's an engaging host and terrific source of information. The cinematography is spectacular as well.
