After reading the short I thought this might be interesting. It was but for totally different reasons. I certainly don't think it is a comedy although there are comedic moments. It is not the type of movie I normally watch but I saw it through from beginning to end and have recommended it to others who I think would like it. I agree it is not for children.

Strange mix of serious adult issues and (sometimes dark) humour. The writing had a few interesting side stories to which one could relate. Pleasantly surprised. One entire star of my rating goes to the police officer brother who had all the funniest lines in the movie.

Seann William Scott is not a bad actor, he is just in a lot of bad movies. This is one of his better ones, but that is not saying much. It moves a little to slow for me, a lot of story lines jammed in. Good try by Cox on her first outing as director.

Ungh, there was potential here but the final product was a long way from living up to it. It felt like watching 2 or 3 very different films that had been stitched together haphazardly in the editing suite.
A lot of talented people were involved in the making of this movie, but I don't think they'll be highlighting it on their resumes any time soon.

This is just as described. I found it to be rather interesting and funny. It is not for kids. 3-1/2 stars.
